About The Position

Job Overview: The Microsoft Administrator II supports the Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD) weapon system test and evaluation mission by managing Microsoft enterprise services, enclave networks, and classified data environments used by the Joint Analysis Team (JAT) within the Systems/Software Engineering Branch (MT-OE). This role ensures the secure, continuous operation of mission networks, databases, and collaborative tools supporting AIAMD analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in IT or related discipline; or 3+ years of Microsoft administration supporting DoD test or analysis missions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Server, Active Directory, GPO, Exchange/O365, and networking hardware/software.
  • CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II) and Microsoft certification (MCSE, MCSA, or Azure Administrator).
  • Knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, secure network configuration, classified data protection, and DoD/Army IA policies.
  • Must be able to relocate ADP hardware and operate in secure or restricted areas.
  • Active Secret with Special Access Required (SAR) eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows and Windows Server environments for AIAMD analysis enclaves and test data repositories.
  • Configure and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft enterprise collaboration tools (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, O365) to enable JAT operations and WAO deliverables.
  • Apply DoD cybersecurity baselines, RMF controls, and STIGs to ensure full compliance for all enclave systems; document results for inspection.
  • Support analysts in uploading, managing, and retrieving mission telemetry and test data within secure enclaves.
  • Provide administrative support for Linux and Windows servers used in AIAMD data reduction and analysis workflows.
  • Maintain data backups, encryption, patching, and asset inventories to ensure system resilience and audit readiness.
  • Manage digital repositories and user permissions for AIAMD test data, ensuring compliance with OPSEC, classification, and release procedures.
  • Support network configuration and security for AIAMD enclave switches, routers, and TACLANE devices.
  • Coordinate with Government engineers and the JAT to install and sustain software tools supporting AIAMD system performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation for AIAMD enclave operations.
  • Support Special Access Program (SAP) integration and secure transfer of classified data to and from external sites.
  • Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability, performance, and data accessibility.
  • Serve as a classified courier when transporting media or hardware to external analysis sites.
