About The Position

We are seeking a SharePoint Online Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on experience in AvePoint Cloud Governance and Microsoft 365. The candidate will lead collaboration initiatives, manage secure and scalable SharePoint environments, and drive governance, automation, and process improvements. This role plays a key part in strengthening lifecycle management and improving user experience across Microsoft 365.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SharePoint Online administration and governance.
  • 2+ years of experience with AvePoint Cloud Governance.
  • Hands-on experience with ShareGate or similar migration tools.
  • Proven success in implementing governance frameworks and process improvements.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Familiarity with retention/sensitivity labels and lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading enterprise SharePoint migrations and governance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
  • Change management mindset to drive governance adoption and best practices

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • AvePoint Certified Administrator (if available)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams within Microsoft 365.
  • Design and optimize governance models, lifecycle management processes, and automation frameworks.
  • Administer and enhance AvePoint Cloud Governance, including policy enforcement and automation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Lead data migration and modernization projects using tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, and Microsoft native utilities.
  • Remediate and retire InfoPath solutions by migrating forms and workflows to Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and low-code solutions for governance and automation.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to align with governance requirements.
  • Monitor service health, troubleshoot issues, and lead incident and problem management.
  • Support AI-driven capabilities and next-generation automation within Microsoft 365.
