We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate BSN nursing students Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab (BIOS-242) This course covers basic concepts of microbiology, with emphasis on medically important microorganisms and infectious diseases. Also addressed are microscopy, microbial growth and genetics, antimicrobial agents, epidemiology and immune system responses to pathogens. Lab exercises focus on aseptic techniques, isolation and culture of microorganisms, microscopy and staining techniques.

Requirements

Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology or very closely related field with a minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in microbiology required.
Note: Foreign degrees require a course-by-course US Evaluation/Translation and must show the following details:
Each course by subject and credit hours awarded
Date degree was conferred
US degree equivalency.

Responsibilities

Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
Completes other duties as assigned.
