Requirements

  • 2 + years in a supervisory/management role and/or team lead role.
  • 2 + years of experience in the material handling.
  • Experience with utilization of and implementation of WMS Systems (JDE, SAP, and others)
  • Previous material handling equipment operation and knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
  • Experience with MS Office suite of tools.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with packaging/palletizing.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of personnel in a micro-logistics center, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, performance standards and staffing requirements.
  • Direct daily operations of micro-logistics center teams, including associate training and licensing, ongoing employee development, workforce planning, work assignments, deadline management, and consistent interpretation and enforcement of organizational policies.
  • Act as primary liaison between micro-logistics center and dealer network, ensuring alignment with customer demand, production schedules, and delivery expectations.
  • Provide detailed performance data and analysis at both departmental and individual levels, conduct performance evaluations, resolving conflicts using de-escalation techniques, and approving timecards to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Assess, recommend, and implement improvements to methods, procedures, and workflow strategies within the warehouse to optimize efficiency and meet evolving business needs.
  • Analyze existing operation practices and procedures, make strategic decisions and create supporting processes and work instructions to meet departmental goals and compliance standards.
  • Review and interpret KPI (key performance indicator) reports to identify warehouse efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities, leveraging lean tools such as the Kaizen process to enhance productivity and operational excellence.
  • Review and respond to safety incidents, conduct risk assessments, and actively promote a “Safety First” culture through training, engagement, and adherence to protocol.
