Description Monitor and report finished product bacteria levels, oversee preoperational inspections, ATP/bacterial levels & continuous improvement of environmental program, to ensure company guidelines and specifications are meet. Responsibilities Microbiological analysis on product, water samples, and environmental swabs throughout the facility. Lead and conduct oven comparisons. Prepare, document, and communicate result reports to the QA Manager. Prepare chemicals for QA lab, Production and Micro lab. Participates in internal and external SQF audits. Monitor, evaluate, document and report the finished product bacteria levels to ensure specifications and compliance with Federal, State and Company food safety guidelines. Manage the calibration program for the facility including scales, thermometers, and all QA lab equipment. Monitor lab inventories and prepare order forms to ensure maximum efficiency of operation. Manage the QA inventory for the Micro, QA and Cutting lab and assist in the maintenance of QA equipment. Collect, send, & report on Customer Sample Requests. Keep Quality Assurance manager informed of daily issues relating to the efficient operation of the micro and QA lab. Perform internal glass/brittle plastic inspections for lab glass and conduct full plant inspection annually. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and assist other personnel as needed to maintain the same conditions in Quality Assurance areas. Attend and participate in meetings, training and continuing education programs internally or externally as deemed appropriate by management.
