Evening Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Follow laboratory procedures for pre-analytic and analytic procedures (specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting) and maintaining records of test examinations. Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Adhere to the laboratory’s safety and quality control policies, and document all quality control activities, instrument and/or procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications. Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic testing for designated section/sections in the laboratory. Utilize standard and/or specialized techniques, as well as use various types of equipment and instrumentation to complete testing. Be responsible for reporting the results of the tests. Apply technical skills and knowledge to facilitate patient care. Provide timely and accurate results. Requirements

  • BS/BA in Medical Technology or Science required.
  • NYSED License required.
  • At least 1 year experience in a Clinical Laboratory, preferred.
  • This may include completion of an ASCP education program.
  • Some experience using computers for date entry.
  • Eves w/ eo wknd & hols; 3p-11p
