About The Position

The Manager of Quality and Provider Relations supports the initiatives of the Population Health Cabinet and the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN). The Manager of Quality and Provider Relations develops, implements, and evaluates Population Health Management strategies and tactics across the ambulatory environment for the CIN. The Manager of Quality and Provider Relations works to drive improvements in health outcomes, quality of care, and patient experience, as well as increased engagement among providers. The Manager of Quality and Provider Relations collaborates with the Health Economics teams and other stakeholders to operationalize and manage the Provider Relations Manager team by leveraging data monitoring and analysis, and implementing change management strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience instead of a degree.
  • Minimum: 3-5 years’ experience in practice or health care-related operations.
  • English
  • Ability to support practice changes to discreet and varied audiences, i.e., Administrators, practice managers, clinicians, as needed
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Experience with Tableau is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and convey complex information to many kinds of people is an absolute requirement, with demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
  • Competence in quality improvement and data interpretation
  • Familiarity with case management and care coordination processes; experienced and skilled in working with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to innovate to achieve the organization’s goals
  • Comfortable using and/or learning to use databases, reporting software, and electronic medical records
  • Exhibits leadership in demonstrating to staff how to embody the patient-centered goals of the organization, and in embracing change, where appropriate
  • Will require travel to other locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a health care-related field
  • Preferred: 5-7 years’ experience in practice or health care-related operations, including dealing with physician performance and quality reporting.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Athena, EClinical Works, AllScripts, Epic, etc) preferred.
  • Experience with hospital systems (Cerner, Sunrise, Epic, and Premier) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes primary responsibility to organize daily operations for delegated staff, scheduling team meetings, and providing first-level assistance for staff escalations—functions as a resource for staff in addressing challenges and troubleshooting provider issues.
  • Acts as liaison for internal stakeholders and colleague teams, serving as collaborator, where appropriate. Coordinates meetings with other teams to facilitate discussions, projects, or ongoing workflows when needed. Maintains clear and effective communication channels between team members and leadership to ensure all parties are aligned, informed, and motivated
  • Evaluates the PRM team's performance through key performance indicators and provides input to annual performance reviews. Identifies barriers to achieving targeted clinical/ performance outcomes; communicates risks and proposes countermeasures to leadership.
  • Conducts regular meetings with team members to provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to support employee engagement and satisfaction, and ensure organizational priorities are implemented effectively. Assist in identifying staff development opportunities and relevant continuing education based on organizational and individual needs.
  • Through analysis of available performance data, leads the Provider Relations Management team in gathering data and meeting with key stakeholders (i.e., Health Economics, Contracting) to identify trends, develop goals, and practice interventions and/or programs incorporating best-practice and evidence-based research to drive Population Health Management (PHM) and improve quality outcomes.
  • Supports the Vice President of Medical Affairs and the Director of Population Health in achieving population health goals.
  • Incorporating front-line experience, provides recommendations to the Director for improving reporting tactics and processes to support ICP’s population health and quality initiatives more effectively.
  • Oversees the Provider Relations Management team in developing educational materials, communications, and additional collateral regarding ICP’s engagement and quality incentive program.
  • Provides leadership for developing and implementing social and educational events to promote provider engagement within the clinically integrated network and the system.
  • Perform other related duties as required
