About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The successful candidate in this position will lead teams in the planning and execution of technology integration initiatives across the enterprise, with primary responsibility for coordinating project activities, validating value propositions, and ensuring business case rigor. The role will work closely with project leads, production trades, and value stream stakeholders to identify operational challenges and align mature technologies from the portfolio to practical shipbuilding applications. The supervisor will also support the development of implementation strategies that enable successful deployment of technologies into production environments, ensuring alignment with program priorities, measurable value delivery, and sustained operational impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience
  • Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams and technology related process improvement initiatives in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing, automation/robotics, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and their practical applications.
  • Proven ability to develop and evaluate business cases, value propositions, and ROI analyses.
  • Experience collaborating with production trades, engineering, and program stakeholders to translate operational challenges into implementable solutions.
  • Strong project managing skills with a track record of driving initiatives from concept through implementation and measurable value realization.
