About The Position

This position will support the Facilities Program Management Office and responsible for the development and execution of the Tactical Spending Plans, Long Range Strategic Plans and Forward Pricing Plans. Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills for project status meetings to internal and external stakeholders, experience in managing projects and familiarity in accounting practices for property and equipment allocation. Lead a team in the evaluation of the Facilities Service Request (FSR) submittals for budgetary alignment, prioritization of Capital and Expense projects, oversight of the Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) tool, document control and development of automation tools to improve processes. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience
  • Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP and PPM Software
  • Familiar in corporate and company policies related to Accounting for Property, Plant and Equipment, Annual Operating Plan, Guidelines for Major Facility Investment, Leased versus Purchase, Capital Asset Program and Acquisition, Transfer & Disposal of Plant Facilities
  • Familiarity with facility operations and value streams
