The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes. Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This role requires the candidate to manage the brittle materials product lines through the different stages of the product life cycle starting from a leading-edge product to high volume manufacturing to maturity and eventual end of life. This includes supporting our customers on part optimization to improve customer chamber performance, working with engineering, supply chain, and directly with suppliers on cost reduction opportunities. The Product Manager is responsible to drive and approve any changes that are required to the Spares brittle materials product lines throughout their life cycle.
