About The Position

As a primary function, this role is responsible for profitable growth of assigned product categories (Mortgage and Home Equity). Key activities include analyzing the competitive landscape, conducting portfolio reviews, and uncovering opportunities to elevate product performance and enrich the member experience. In addition, this position works in close partnership with Marketing and other channel owners to shape initiatives that spark lead generation and fuel sustainable mortgage growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related business experience with preferred Mortgage experience
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and CRM systems to inform strategy and collaboration. Solid project leadership/management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Superior financial analytical skills (quantitative/qualitative); demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis to support new product and promotional pricing recommendations; Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Creative and proactive mindset, with strong attention to detail; Ability to work independently while maintaining clear lines of communication with internal and external partners, and business line management.

Responsibilities

  • Research, summarize and analyze competitive environment to determine industry best practices and market growth opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to strategize campaigns and identify the most effective communication channels (digital ads, email, direct mail, etc.) to attract new members and strengthen retention.
  • Identify gaps where new product development should be pursued and develop execution strategy for those with highest growth potential.
  • Perform analysis and develop proposals for product changes and/or introductions to appropriate BCU committees.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaign planning and provide support through review, quality assurance, and proofing of materials.
  • Develop business cases to evaluate and recommend investment in new channels and lead sources, ensuring decisions are supported by competitive insights, portfolio analysis, and growth objectives.
  • Enhance digital presence of home loan products on BCU website to drive penetration with company partners.
  • Partner with Business Development team to create relevant product offerings for new company partners.
  • Collaborate with Planning & Analytics team to develop annual growth, revenue, and expense goals. Work with Sales Managers to allocate goals within specific channels.
  • Work together with Finance and Risk team to ensure product lines achieve acceptable levels of profitability and adjust pricing as necessary.
  • Leverage peer and industry data to benchmark growth, originations, and risk performance.
