About The Position

This position is responsible for the oversight and direction of the finances of the Foundation, including donor funds, grants, endowments, and department operating dollars. Position will serve as the primary liaison between corporate Finance, entity CFO's as well as fund managers, providing routine updates on balances and spend within each account. Oversees financial accuracy for over 400 restricted funds, endowments and grants across all of Piedmont Healthcare. Provides support and serves as a consultant for financial fund management to Piedmont's other three Foundations. Engages with legal, internal audit, compliance, finance, and other departments to ensure donor dollars are managed and spent based on donor's intent. Ensures all grants across the system are managed financially and all grant reports are submitted timely. This position will also be responsible for supporting treasury and finance operations. Responsibilities will include monthly cash reconciliations, preparing check requests, outstanding pledge reconciliations, monthly reconciliation of budget to actual expenses, and supporting annual budget preparations. Support will be provided to the Piedmont tax department to appropriately report financials for the 990 tax return for all four foundations. Also, will support identifying and pulling data for routine metrics, analysis and reporting. This position will provide direct supervisory management of the Fund and Finance Specialist position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or closely related field Required
  • 5 years of progressive work experience in business, finance, or accounting analysis/project management Required
  • Experience with database and decision support systems preferred (Tableau, Raiser’s Edge). Required
