About The Position

Manages the daily operations of a divisional or organizational unit primarily in the areas of administrative and financial management. Represents the department on business affairs to the institution community. Works closely with Division Chief(s) to ensure clinical assignments are in alignment with financial goals. Responsibilities Develops and prepares budgets and financial reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds. Responsible for the overall planning and direction of an organizational unit(s) or a multi-faceted academic, research, and teaching department. Within the School of Medicine, oversight of a divisional unit. Manages all facets and phases of financial and administrative management. Oversees the management of general appropriation, endowment, federal and non-federal grants and contracts, and gift funds. Manages and improves business processes and operations by ensuring continuity, integration of policies and procedures with the organization's mission and strategic plan. Identifies short-term and strategic goals and has oversight for the allocation of resources to meet priorities. Controls all expenditures and statements of accounts to ensure regulatory compliance and fiscal integrity. Develops, plans, and directs special projects, which may include space renovations, space allocations, staffing, equipment purchases, long-range plans, leasing of off-campus space, and services. Serves as lead in faculty recruitment. Performs all other duties as assigned.
