About The Position

At NorthStar, the safety of our patients and our community is our top priority. As a Concierge/Driver at the Mobile Unit, your role will be essential to this mission. The Concierge/Driver will oversee the driving of the Mobile Unit from the clinic location to a location for dispensing, and duties include, but are not limited to, keeping order among patients, greeting and observing patient flow, and enforcing clinic policies. These responsibilities each require toughness, strength, organization, and punctuality. As a Concierge/Driver, you will be making one of the first impressions of NorthStar to both patients and community members, so a welcoming, helpful attitude and a friendly approach are needed. The NorthStar clinic and the Mobile Unit are places for teamwork and for healing our community. We are looking for candidates who want to make a difference and who can demonstrate compassion and empathy just as easily as they can keep calm and order. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Good driving record.
  • Language: English (Spanish is not required but is highly desired.)
  • Must be able and willing to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Professionalism in appearance, work ethic, and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work the hours and days required by position, including daily 5:30 am start times.
  • Ability to provide health and TB clearance.
  • Must pass background check and urine drug screen.
  • Be comfortable driving a large RV Mobile Unit
  • Tribal preference in accordance with Cowlitz Indian Tribe Code and CIT Employee Policies and Procedures Handbook shall apply to all positions.
  • All positions are required to adhere to CIT’s established safety policies regarding vaccine requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Patrol the property, enforce clinic policy and regulations, and investigate all visitor- related indents.
  • Drive the Mobile Unit to and from specified locations.
  • Ensure that the patients, staff, and visitors are provided with a safe and professional working environment.
  • Maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activity.
  • Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions of the Mobile Unit that might endanger patients, staff, or public safety, including fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, or other visitor-related events; provide back-up to patients and staff as needed
  • Ensure that daily security documentation is complete; maintain all daily assigned equipment in a functional and presentable condition.
  • Respond to requests for assistance by program staff and various patient requests.
  • Submit daily activity reports to the Clinic Administrator or the Supervisor on site.
  • Investigate security-related accidents/incidents and complaints; complete report and follow up with management as needed.
  • Responsibilities include crowd control and assisting the Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, or other officials as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Able to set up and take down Mobile Unit accessories and empty black water.
