About The Position

Technology Specialists act as product escalation function for both Meter
Specialists and Field Technicians. Technology Specialists work to resolve
high-level product concerns as they relate to submetering and the Meters
department. The process includes, but is not limited to, researching and
understanding meter issues from simpler to more complex systems, support of
mixed systems, Gas & Electric issues along with related legal and compliance
issues.

Requirements

• Qualified to support all basic meter systems (NextCentury, Tehama, and Inovonics)
• Qualified to support at least 2 more complex systems or Gas & Electric issues.
• Able to clearly explain complex technical issues, both verbally and in writing.
• Expert at prioritizing important and urgent work to meet deadlines
• Able to solve a range of issues from redundant to complex
• Able to independently analyze and reason to make unaided decisions
• Talent to stay positive and productive under pressure
• Understand at least 2 more complex systems or Gas & Electric issues.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred nine months Meters Department experience

Responsibilities

• Offer cause and effect explanations to clients for product concerns that they have
• Following up with Conservice team members to ensure that solutions are found
• Understand or research complex and less known systems to find solutions in a timely manner
• Organizing workload by filtering emails and chats based on priority
• Organize and track information to effectively prioritize work
• Communicate with leadership, field technicians and clients regarding challenges and then brainstorm ideas to resolve
• Document recurring simpler issues that could be resolved by Meter Specialists to enable faster initial resolution and increase skills
• Other duties as assigned by leadership
