About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Metal Fab Tech to join our prototyping team. The ideal candidate will be expert in fabrication techniques and operation of machines including laser/punch and brake. Metal Fab Tech responsibilities include the manufacture of metal parts, evaluation of drawings, process management, and documentation. This role is critical, and applicants must be self‑starters who require little supervision.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in metal fabrication
  • 4–6 years’ experience or training in document control
  • Forklift certified and training authorized
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
  • Flexibility to adjust to challenges and changing priorities
  • Skill in promoting a positive and collaborative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Analyze diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures for clarity and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate to document problems.
  • Suggest changes to simplify and improve techniques.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as press brakes, laser/punch machines; cut and form materials.
  • Manufacture metal and plastic parts to specifications and schedules.
  • Accurately utilize measuring devices such as 3D scanners, scales, gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers, squares, and tape measures.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and work rules, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Maintain and clean production tools and equipment.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of problems and progress.
  • Track scrap and rework.
  • Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
  • Train and support others.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties as required.
