About The Position

An Operations Lead is responsible for directly supervising employees in a specific department or a specific shift while fulfilling the regular duties of the assigned shift/department. They are responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly during their shift; communicating and problem-solving with other leaders.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and Microsoft.
Ability to motivate and guide others to ensure performance in accordance with clear expectations and goals.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic and pay attention to details.
Ability to lead and support quality, safety, and policy standards.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to pass forklift certification test and drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

Supervise team performance and productivity, supporting individual training and development.
Work in assigned areas to support the needs of the shift and/or the department to ensure quality production and on-time order fulfillment.
Encourage teamwork and communication among all Shurco operations.
Train, oversee and coach employees, helping to resolve work-related problems and informing the manager as needed.
Maintain a safe working environment by training and monitoring employees’ use of equipment.
Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
Identify and communicate production and inventory challenges, working with other leaders to resolve issues.
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
Operate a forklift, as needed.
Other related duties as assigned.
