We’re looking for a Fab Operator to join the Snap Lab team at Snap Inc! As a Fab Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of electronic components to a given schedule using a range of equipment and processes with a cleanroom environment. This position is shift-based with multiple positions across 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shift, Monday through Friday. 1 st Shift hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. 2 nd shift hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. 3 rd shift hours: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing the necessary cleanroom attire.
  • Ability to work strictly to quality standards and specifications.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, working with small parts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent attendance record, with reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Docs and Google Sheets, and standard data entry systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous working experience with Snap Inc. is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, wearing the necessary cleanroom attire.
  • Previous experience working with tweezers, handling small parts.
  • Use of microscopes to perform and judge defects during an inspection.
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time to perform work duties.
  • Able to work occasional overtime, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Processing of material to the required quality standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Preparation of materials and tooling to applied standards.
  • Undertake periodic quality checks on equipment and processes, as specified.
  • Gathering and recording of data.
  • Carry out visual inspection of product according to the device specific criteria.
  • Identify non-compliant material or abnormal events, taking appropriate action as detailed in applied specifications.
  • Contribute improvement activities and participate within working groups.
  • Achieve production targets by undertaking tasks according to specified plan and priorities using local decision making to account for material and equipment availability.
  • Interface with maintenance and engineering staff regularly throughout a shift.
  • Comply with Environmental Health and Safety regulations within the working environment.
