Requirements

  • 5+ years of dynamic experience in a commercial or merchandising management setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or those with equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in building out marketplace management strategies, including segmentation, allocation, franchise management, and distribution plans.
  • Ability to deliver the art and science of merchandising, combining product assortment and analytics.
  • Problem-solving approach: Capacity to assess and interpret extensive data sets to pinpoint issues or potential prospects and propose effective courses of action.
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as external customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present information to large groups both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver key responsibilities on time.
  • In-depth knowledge of global and regional performance and style trends, with the ability to translate them into commercial concepts.
  • Passionate about achieving objectives by striking a balance between long-term goals and immediate performance.
  • Ability to lead and influence people in support of overarching business and category goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal and long range omni channel category strategies aligned to brand and commercial priorities.
  • Construct and lead the category strategy in the North American Marketplace, positioning Stanley as a premium lifestyle brand.
  • Conduct a comprehensive regional and seasonal analysis to advise the global briefing process, incorporating competitive market shopping and consumer insights, and identification of white space opportunities.
  • Become the go-to expert for the North American category strategy, providing valuable insights and guidance.
  • Deliver regional assortments that drive revenue and meet targets for MSRP, margin, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Develop strategic and actionable franchise management plans to support channel segmentation, allocation, and distribution strategies.
  • Manage and monitor new product introductions and carryover products, ensuring impactful launches and lifecycle management in the market.
  • Continuously strive for SKU efficiency, improved margins, and global assortment alignment.
  • Support the finance and planning departments by providing product forecasts and analysis by season, category, gender, and style.
  • Contribute to the development of the long-range plan (LRP) and annual budget.
  • Analyze sell in and sell through to inform future line decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop seasonal storytelling and land the product with impact.
