About The Position

Patterson Companies has an exciting opportunity to participate in our summer internship program as a Merchandise Marketing intern. This internship runs from May to August 2026. The intern will participate in meaningful work, along with making contributions to team efforts in our fast paced, people first corporate environment. This internship will be a hybrid position working both remotely and on site at our corporate office located in Eagan, MN.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly collaborative with a desire to learn in a dynamic, professional environment.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Product Hierarchy & Data Structure Projects Conduct research and clean up the existing product hierarchy across multiple systems.
Recommend new hierarchy categories based on gaps or needs within the current product assortment.
Recategorize products according to the newly suggested hierarchy.
Partner cross-functionally with the Master Data team and other stakeholders to implement hierarchy changes.
Compare and contrast the existing web hierarchy with SAP hierarchy structures; document discrepancies and recommend resolutions.
Other Merchandise Projects Assist with the following as needed: Promotions project and entering of vendor promotions New Product Submissions process Annual catalog Private label project
