About The Position

Texas Trades is looking for a sharp, detail-driven MEP Plumbing Estimator to help us win and deliver standout commercial projects. In this role, you'll turn drawings and specs into clean, competitive numbers-building smart bids that set our field teams up for success.

Requirements

• 3+ years estimating plumbing/mechanical work in commercial construction (or equivalent combo of experience/education).
• Strong knowledge of materials, systems, specs, and real-world pricing.
• Organized, responsive, and confident communicating with subs and suppliers.
• A "numbers + teamwork" mindset-accurate, quick, and solution-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with takeoff/estimating tools (Planswift/WinEst a plus).

Responsibilities

• Review plans/specs and scope jobs from concept through final bid.
• Perform accurate on-screen takeoffs and build material/labor assemblies.
• Invite, track, and analyze vendor/sub pricing; follow up to lock in best value.
• Write clear proposal letters with qualifications/clarifications.
• Partner with the bid team to meet deadlines and submit complete, polished bids.
• Support PMs with pricing for buyouts, change orders, and negotiations.
• Ensure a smooth handoff from estimating to operations with organized bid files.
