About The Position

A </span> plumbing designer</b> shall have the ability to produce comprehensive facility plumbing designs under the guidance of a project engineer and, at a minimum, have the following capabilities: </p> Understand basic plumbing theory/calculations, plumbing system components and devices. </p> </li> Have the ability to comprehend and implement inputs and direction from the project engineer. </p> </li> Apply Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software to support project designs. </p> </li> Knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices with the ability to apply them within the plumbing design. </p> </li> Be able to develop and draft domestic water and sanitary plans, riser diagrams and schedules. </p> </li> Understand the components of the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems that will impact the design and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the plumbing design. </p> </li> Take personal ownership of the work produced. </p> </li>

Requirements

  • Vocation school, military training, college degree, field experience, proven relevant technical experience.
  • Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software.
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.
