We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Inspector to j oin our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, gas systems, and plumbing installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, engineered drawings, and product approvals.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily inspection schedules efficiently.
  • Proficiency with electronic inspection platforms and permitting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
  • DBPR FL Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Standard Inspector License required or ability to attain
  • 3-5 Years of experience in municipal code inspections
  • High School or Equivalent
  • Good Driving Record

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Verify compliance with the Florida Building Code, National Electrical Code (NEC), Florida Mechanical Code, Florida Plumbing Code, NFPA standards, and local amendments.
  • Document inspection findings and issue correction notices or approvals through electronic inspection systems.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of code requirements to contractors, property owners, engineers, and architects.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with municipal staff and the public.
  • Maintain current knowledge of code changes and participate in ongoing training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of inspections, reports, and communications.
