About The Position

MEP Estimator (Government Agency Projects | NYC) Join a nationally respected construction management firm delivering high-profile government and institutional projects. We're hiring an experienced MEP Estimator to lead cost planning and estimation for large-scale projects with agencies such as SCA, DASNY, and other public sector clients. This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City or our Albany office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 5-10+ years of MEP estimating experience
• Proven experience with government agency projects (SCA, DASNY, etc.)
• Proficiency in estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Destini, Sitework tools)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience advising clients on cost strategies and market conditions
• Familiarity with corporate estimating processes
• Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP estimates for government agency, healthcare, and institutional projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and documentation for cost breakdowns
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and perform scope reviews
• Collaborate with design teams for constructability and value engineering
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations
• Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases
