About The Position

This is a full-time, direct placement role at a full service Architectural and Engineering Firm. Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated licensed Professional engineer with minimum of 5 years of experience. An individual that is looking to advance their career thru diverse project experiences, managing production personnel, and a desire for exposure to all aspects of the profession. Requirements

• PE license
• Ability to provide elegant and effect design solutions
• A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables.
• General knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc.
• Proficient in different MEP system types and detailing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to details
• Ability to work under indirect supervision
• Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
• Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
• Technically creative and open- minded
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
• Licensure in the state of Ohio and ability to obtain additional state licensure
• 5+ years of engineering experience preferably within the commercial, hospitality, health clubs, office, retail, animal care, and restaurant industry
• Understanding and knowledge of building codes, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and site requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCad, HAP or similar block load software, and Microsoft Office is required

Responsibilities

• Researches, analyzes, design, and administers MEP projects for clients, applying knowledge of engineering design, detailing, construction procedures, mechanical codes, materials, and systems.
• Produces conceptual plans, analytical, and construction documents.
• Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
• Produces plumbing, HVAc, and electrical construction documents in AutoCAD.
• Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
• Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.
• Coordinate production with up to 4 reporting-to team members
• Research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
