About The Position

The Menu Strategy Culinary Intern supports the development of comprehensive menu plans for OTGs unique concepts. Considering factors like customer trends, market analysis, profitability, and brand identity, often collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Creative, Operations, and Culinary Teams to ensure the menu aligns with overall business objectives. This program allows students to have an immersive, hands-on learning experience within a multi-unit restaurant group with diverse concepts. This position is hybrid, based in our NYC home office. The intern will assist the department by working on (but not limited to) special projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A student recently graduated or enrolled in a culinary school/program or hospitality preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with staff in different functions and skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment both independently and within a team
  • Must be able to perform with urgency with priority matters, with hands on approach to operational needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Organize/write/upload recipes on SharePoint
  • Participant in the review and analysis of current menus/recipes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participant in the pricing process, including reviewing COGS
  • Learn about and participate in creating projects for OTGs menu development process
  • Coordinate and communicate menu projects to the cross functional departments
  • Take notes and share recaps on meetings
  • Uphold the organization's values, philosophy, ethic, integrity, and code of conduct.
