About The Position

This entry-level position is ideal for Bachelor's-level students pursuing their Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or other clinical field. The Mental Health Worker (MHW) will work directly under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional. The MHW is responsible for providing direct care, support, and evidence-based interventions within one of Glade Run’s licensed outpatient clinics and/or school-based sites. Outpatient Counseling may include: Individual, family, and group therapy for a variety of mental health needs. The MHW collaborates with clinicians, treatment teams, and external providers to support the delivery of quality care. QUALIFICATIONS Mental health worker—A person acting under the supervision of a mental health professional to provide services who meets one of the following: ​​​​​​Has a bachelor's degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the CHEA in a recognized clinical discipline including social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation or activity therapies. Has a graduate degree in a clinical discipline with 12 graduate-level credits in mental health or counseling from a program that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the CHEA. Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the AICE or the NACES. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency. Must have acceptable PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI Clearance and Act 168 forms. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THIS POSITION Must be able to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency’s Core Values. to ensure service delivery aligns with Glade Run’s mission: “Founded in Faith and Grounded in Excellence, We Empower Individuals to Experience Personal Wellness and Growth. Create a welcoming and calming atmosphere utilizing therapeutic techniques and best practices centering around Dialectical Behavioral techniques, Mindfulness, Anxiety coping skills, behavior modification techniques, and open communication for students in a K-12 setting. Promote sanctuary principles within the setting to transfer skills to students who are utilizing the space Track and monitor Serenity Room usage, identifying and triaging youth who are at-risk and may benefit from additional referrals and resources. Communicate with school, SAP, and families to coordinate and support youth. Ability to accept supervision. Any individual hired in this position is required to have a minimum of two hours of supervision per month (1 of which, must be individual). Carries a small caseload of youth who have had an intake and admitted into the Glade Run Outpatient/School Based program. MHW will conduct symptom scales, psychosocial assessments, releases and consents, informed consent, and treatment planning in alignment with OMHSAS Regulation, Managed Care minimum standards, and Glade Run Policies, Procedures and standard operating procedures. Complete clinical file documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Maintain case documentation according to DHS requirements. Collects data and completes monthly reports that are forwarded to referring sources outlining the participants progress and attendance in the program as well as contributes to outcome reporting for Annual reports and various stakeholders. Consult with psychiatrists, other involved program areas or providers on a regular basis to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Must attend at least 1 Psychiatric Treatment team supervision one time per quarter at minimum. Attends departmental and professional training, workshop and conferences to ensure best practices. Requirements
