Per Diem - Mental Health Technician
About The Position
Cedar Hills has opportunities for Mental Health Technicians to join our team! We are looking for people who will be dedicated to serving our patients with a high quality of care. At Cedar Hills Hospital, our team of board-certified psychiatrists, internal medicine and family physicians, licensed therapists, and dedicated nursing staff provide individualized, continuum of care treatment in a stigma-free environment for adults aged 18 and over. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self care preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
- This is not a remote position - you must be located in the Portland metro area.
Responsibilities
- observes, escorts, and monitors patients
- reports observations to the Registered Nurse
- provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
- assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
- engages patients in positive role models recovery oriented behaviors
