Per Diem - Mental Health Technician

Cedar Hills has opportunities for Mental Health Technicians to join our team! We are looking for people who will be dedicated to serving our patients with a high quality of care. Who We Are: Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program in Portland, Oregon dedicated to healing patients’ minds and bodies. Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Experience: Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
- This is not a remote position - you must be located in the Portland metro area.
Responsibilities
- observes, escorts, and monitors patients
- reports observations to the Registered Nurse
- provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
- assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
- engages patients in positive role models recovery oriented behaviors
