About The Position

In this role, the Mental Health Program Manager (referred to as Mental Health Program Director in the job description) is responsible for coordinating and supervising one to two residential programs that specialize in supporting individuals with challenging behavioral and mental health needs. Key priorities include supervising and training mental health specialists and ensuring all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest possible degree.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience supervising programs that oversee services for people with behavioral and serious persistent mental health needs
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Current auto liability insurance with reliable transportation
  • Designated Manager status per 245D licensing

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year degree in behavioral science, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise one to two residential programs specializing in supporting individuals with challenging behavioral and mental health needs
  • Supervise and train mental health specialists
  • Ensure all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest degree possible
  • Ensure all direct service shifts in programs are filled by adequately oriented and trained staff who meet Dungarvin conditions of employment
  • Occasionally work direct service shifts, normally not exceeding 16 hours per week
  • Notify supervisor in advance if working more than 16 hours of direct service in any work week
  • Notify supervisor as soon as possible if advance notification for direct service work cannot be made
