About The Position

Bourbonnais Terrace is a Specialized Mental Health and Rehab Facility (SMHRF) that provides care to non-aggressive adult mentally ill/behavior health populations. Located in a quiet suburban neighborhood, the facility boasts a leadership team with many years of tenure and a low turnover rate, fostering a family-like atmosphere. The center is JACHO accredited and focuses on recovery and rehabilitation, utilizing an award-winning Life Skills Program. This role involves providing compassion and companionship to residents, partnering with them on their journey to healthy living. Unlike a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), patients are independent, do not require lifting, and are very interactive.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology) and have a minimum of 1 year of supervised experience in mental health or human services.
• Minimum qualifications are an unrelated Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years in a mental health profession/role or a high school diploma and 5 or more years in the mental health profession with clinical supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a PRSC or mental health professional in a licensed nursing home, intermediate care facility, or specialized mental health rehab facility is preferred
• Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) is ideal, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides group and individual psychiatric rehabilitative and case management services to adults with a history of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and in need of long-term care stabilization.
• Participate with the interdisciplinary teams in developing and implementing therapeutic services and interventions.
