We are currently hiring a Memory Support Director (LPN required) for our Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in Ocoee, FL! What You'll Do: As the Memory Support Director , you will serve as the overall lead in our memory care neighborhood. You will work closely with care staff, family members, and fellow department leaders to ensure our residents receive high-quality, person-centered care that meets both their medical and emotional needs.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the State of Florida (Required)
  • 3+ years of nursing experience, preferably in dementia or memory care settings
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or similar environments
  • Proven understanding of dementia progression, behavioral management, and cognitive support techniques
  • Strong documentation, assessment, and care planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and hands-on support to care staff in the memory care neighborhood
  • Ensure all care plans are up to date, personalized, and aligned with best practices in dementia care
  • Conduct regular rounding, assessments, and behavior observations to identify changes in condition
  • Participate in or lead care conferences with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to care associates and medication aides
  • Oversee medication management, documentation accuracy, and compliance with physician orders
  • Monitor and enforce infection control, fall prevention, and safety protocols
  • Partner with the Director of Health & Wellness and Executive Director to uphold compliance with state regulations and company standards
  • Ensure resident programming, dining, care, and all aspects of the memory care neighborhood are thriving
  • Maintain effective communication with residents' families, offering education, updates, and support
  • Lead efforts to reduce incidents, manage behavioral symptoms, and improve overall quality of life for residents
