About The Position

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is looking for a Membership Support Coordinator to join the Member and Product Support department. ACP, a national organization of internal medicine physicians with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with more than 162,000 members worldwide. This is a full-time hybrid position with 2 days in-office per week required. The Membership Support Coordinator will be responsible for answering all member and customer inquiries, coordinating the workflow of Resident/Fellow Member applications and verification, handling group dues payments, and managing administrative tasks related to membership records. The role involves close collaboration with Membership Engagement, Membership Programs, and residency program staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination of processes. The coordinator’s major job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted.
  • Candidates for this position should be detail-oriented and possess a positive customer service attitude.
  • Strong PC skills with data entry, and Microsoft365 experience desired.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and have previously worked in a customer service position, preferably in a membership association.
  • Time management skills and experience balancing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using e-commerce applications (Highly Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support in navigating our websites, online products, apps, and e-commerce. Technological savvy to guide customers through these various screens and processes.
  • Review and evaluate domestic and international physician membership applications for eligibility and accuracy.
  • Resolve credentialing requirement issues with applicants and members.
  • Process transactions (application payments, fees, orders, payment batches and adjustments) for all ACP products and services.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with Resident/Fellow Member annual auto-election process.
  • Assist with product sales and renewals.
  • Provide information and assistance to members and customers via incoming calls, email correspondence, and chat support.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all College products and program lines, including books, periodicals, journals, self-assessment programs, other educational media, meetings and registration, and member services.
