About The Position

Galápagos Conservancy seeks a strategic, donor-focused Membership Officer to lead the growth, retention, and stewardship of our membership base. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, this role owns the membership revenue line and is accountable for annual membership revenue, retention, and upgrade performance. The Membership Officer is responsible for developing and executing the annual membership strategy, managing multi-channel acquisition and renewal programs, overseeing member services and operations, and supervising the Philanthropy Operations Officer. This role works closely with the Philanthropy, Communications, and Operations teams, as well as external vendors and consultants, to deliver a best-in-class member experience and drive sustainable annual revenue.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in membership, annual giving, direct response, or donor relations.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills.
Experience with fundraising CRMs (EveryAction preferred).
Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and use insights to drive decision-making.
Highly organized; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
