About The Position

Austin Telco is seeking a Member Service Coordinator who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with our members. In this role, you will perform financial transactions, open and maintain various types of accounts, and promote products and services that support our members’ financial well-being. You will play a key role in ensuring operational accuracy, compliance with policies, and a positive member experience across all service channels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a credit union, bank or other financial institution
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Good credit standing (verified prior to hire)
  • Successful background check and drug screening upon offer

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial products and services preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, courteous, and prompt service to members in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Provide account balances, product information, and general assistance
  • Open and update personal, business, IRA, Trust, and Estate accounts
  • Ensure full disclosure of products, services, and associated fees
  • Apply Customer Identification Program (CIP) policy to all accounts
  • Close accounts after verifying no outstanding balances, transactions, or safe deposit boxes
  • Open online accounts and assist with IRA audits and transfer requests
  • Review daily reports including certificate FM, renewal, and new online shares
  • Assist members with loan closings as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing, auditing, and scanning of account documents
  • Train team members as needed, and attend assigned training sessions
