About The Position

Educational Systems FCU is a fast-growing credit union with over $1.3 billion in assets and 95,000 members, serving the education community for over 70 years. Their core purpose is to serve the education community, with a vision to make financial wellness and stability accessible. The Member Experience Officer role involves providing sales and service functions, offering information on Credit Union services, and cross-selling products to meet member needs. This position also manages day-to-day branch operations in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Branch Manager and supports membership and asset growth through sales campaigns and community outreach. The ideal candidate will ensure a positive and seamless member experience by actively listening, addressing concerns, and advocating for members' best interests, ultimately enhancing their satisfaction and loyalty. The role requires a sales and service role model who can foster a sales culture in a fast-paced branch environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Minimum three (3) years financial institution experience
  • Experience selling and cross-selling products or services in a financial institution
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must complete process to become a notary within 6 months of employment
  • Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment
  • Ability to utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, 10 key calculator, fax, copier, telephone, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred
  • One (1) year experience in outside sales and/or business development preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of sales and service functions
  • Provide information on all Credit Union services
  • Effectively cross-sell products and services that meet the member's specific needs
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch in the absence of the Assistant Manager (where applicable) and Branch Manager
  • Support the Credit Union's membership and asset growth goals by participating in sales campaigns and community outreach events as determined by the Branch Manager
  • Ensure members have a positive and seamless experience by actively listening to their needs, addressing concerns, and advocating for their best interests
  • Create an exceptional experience for members, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Interact with members to understand their needs, resolve their concerns, and enhance their overall experience with the Credit Union
