About The Position

Lead the Flow of Steel — Own the Caster Imagine starting your day in the heart of the melt shop, where you set the pace for safe, precise, and efficient casting. You rally the team, sync with furnace and ladle operations, and make sure each heat moves smoothly through start‑up, sequencing, and grade changes. When a ladle doesn’t free open, you’re hands‑on with burning procedures. As billets exit, you guide inspections and manage heat separations, all while keeping a sharp eye on quality metrics and production data. What You’ll Do Lead caster operations with a relentless focus on safety, quality, and throughput. Capture, maintain, and communicate caster production information and KPIs. Coordinate daily activities with Melt Shop partners to keep the line balanced. Assist with start‑ups, heat sequencing, and grade transitions alongside the run‑out operator. Support in burning non‑free opening ladles to maintain flow and safety. Oversee billet inspections and manage heat separations for traceability and quality.
