Building Operations, Facilities Services - JLL What this job involves: The Meeting / Event Setup Technician / Porter handles the setup and breakdown of meeting and event spaces at the client site. This role generally falls under the Facilities Management team. This role is customer facing, so the technician must be able to exhibit good customer service and communication skills while providing a high touch hospitality focused service. What your day-to-day will look like: Ensures that meeting and event spaces are maintained in a clean and efficient manner, well stocked and ready Handles set-up, breakdown, refreshing and resetting for all meeting and event spaces (tables, chairs, flipcharts, whiteboards etc) Assist with coordinating activities of onsite meeting and events Operational knowledge of all relevant equipment within the meeting and event spaces Maintain inventory, suggest repair, storage or replacement of equipment Respond to all meeting and event set-up requests in a timely manner, ensuring KPI compliance and excellent customer service Collaborate with other service providers who support the meeting and event space (audio visual, catering, security, facilities, janitorial, and equipment providers) Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved or exceeded Work with clients at all levels of an organization, including C-suite Assist the meeting and event coordinator/s with activities of onsite meetings and events, scheduling, catering set ups as well as janitorial support Follow safety rules and safe working practices Performs all job responsibilities with initiative, integrity, and good judgement Porter services will include moving office furniture and equipment, assisting with office setup of ministerial visits at offsite (residential) locations, hanging pictures and placing office equipment, and escorting contractors. Provides snow removal services (pre-treat driveways and pathways and clear snow) below 2” Oversee 3rd party contractors to include janitorial, exterior maintenance, pest control, and other soft services Performs other related duties as assigned Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting and driving. Maintenance of work order through our work order management system, Corrigo

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft office suite, Outlook)
  • The ability to learn and carry out basic operational skills for Audio Visual equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to complete work accurately and efficiently
  • Must be able stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds with assistance long periods of time
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent service and teamwork skills; shows respect when dealing with customers and team members

  • Experience in Corrigo is a plus

Responsibilities
