The Maintenance Mechanic supports general operation, inspection, and building maintenance. This includes mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in assigned facilities. Assists site Operations Manager and other mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, furniture, etc. with an emphasis on repairing pneumatic guns used in production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent Years of relevant experience.
  • Pneumatic tool repair knowledge
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, pneumatic tool repair, basic plumbing and basic electrical.
  • Comfortable using Outlook mail and calendar as well as Microsoft word and Excel.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Main Priority is repairing all pneumatic guns for the Sikorsky production employees
  • Completing preventive maintenance, tours, and repair work orders in mixed lab and office facility.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • General interior maintenance and lite carpentry tasks.
  • Basic plumbing skills, sink, faucet, toilet repair, etc.
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed.
  • Replace lighting and ballasts.
  • Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
  • Eager to learn from the existing team as well as bring personal experience to the group. Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
  • Understand and follow PPE requirements and signage.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work. areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled.
  • Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to navigate the web-based work order system to update and close out Work Orders in a timely manner.
  • Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
  • Attend work and safety meetings as required.
