About The Position
Tonkin Hillsboro Chevrolet is expanding and seeking a Medium Duty / Diesel Technician for its service department. This role involves diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles efficiently and accurately according to manufacturer specifications. Requirements
- 3 years of automotive repair and diagnostics
- New car dealership experience
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Prior automotive experience and domestic certifications
Responsibilities
- Make Diagnostic, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with both Gas and Diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
