About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) for a permanent day-shift opportunity in Panama City, Florida.

The Medical Technologist performs assigned laboratory testing across multiple specialty areas including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention through precise laboratory analysis and quality control.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist license for the position you are applying for.
• Florida state generalist laboratory license required or eligibility to obtain.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or related field required.
• MT / MLS registry required to start; ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Open to candidates of varying experience levels; training available for licensed generalists.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical analyses.
• Conduct specimen receiving, accessioning, and supply inventory support.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation issues and document corrective actions.
• Perform quality control procedures and initiate corrective actions as required.
• Assist with instrument maintenance and repairs when necessary.
• Train new employees and students as assigned.
• Participate in phlebotomy and accessioning responsibilities as needed.
