About The Position
Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Largo, Florida. HEARTLINE STAFFING is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. The Medical Technologist performs stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across multiple technical disciplines under the direction of laboratory leadership. This role applies theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine with independent judgment to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant results. The Medical Technologist supports Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections while maintaining licensure, competency, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Associate Degree required
- Active State of Florida Medical Technologist license required OR ability to obtain during interview process
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist required
- Strong experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology
- Ability to perform quality control, troubleshooting, and regulatory documentation
- Strong independent judgment, organization, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing laboratory testing according to written procedures and regulatory standards
- Analyzing and interpreting patient results
- Performing delta checks
