About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Medical-Surgical Orthopedic RN to join a patient-centered acute care unit in Tallahassee, Florida. This role provides care to adult patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and medical-surgical conditions. Nurses are expected to make independent clinical assessments, manage treatments autonomously, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care or orthopedic experience.
- Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience considered.
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify clinical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition.
- Advocate for patient safety and quality care.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
