About The Position

The Medical Staff Support Specialist provides administrative and staff support services for the Manager and Medical Staff Affairs Office. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. The role is full-time and based at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. Key responsibilities include supporting the credentialing and privileging program, reviewing applications, managing documentation, and preparing files. The specialist will also collaborate with the Medical Staff Affairs Office Manager to develop agendas, schedule meetings, and ensure comprehensive preparation for Medical Staff programs. Additional duties involve updating and distributing Emergency Department Back-up Call Schedules, coordinating Medical Staff Peer Review activities, assisting Medical Staff leadership with clerical and support tasks, managing the onboarding process for new Medical Staff members, and facilitating communication through memorandums, rosters, and general correspondence.

Requirements

  • High School (GED) Diploma required
  • One to three years office experience in healthcare, computers, data entry, transcribing minutes, and typing 60 wpm
