Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree
Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM)

Responsibilities

The Medical Staff Coordinator will coordinate and lead all aspects of the Medical Staff Services Office.
Maintains accurate files for all physicians, dentists, podiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, all allied health practitioners as defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws / Rules and regulations.
Maintains schedules for all medical staff committees / subcommittees, work groups.
Manages appointment, reappointment, and changes in status / credentials for all LIP and advanced practice practitioners for both the UT Health East Texas Pittsburg and Quitman facilities.
