Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM)

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Staff Coordinator will coordinate and lead all aspects of the Medical Staff Services Office.
  • Maintains accurate files for all physicians, dentists, podiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, all allied health practitioners as defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws / Rules and regulations.
  • Maintains schedules for all medical staff committees / subcommittees, work groups.
  • Manages appointment, reappointment, and changes in status / credentials for all LIP and advanced practice practitioners for both the UT Health East Texas Pittsburg and Quitman facilities.
