Requirements

• Experience in a medical office or health information role is desirable
• Comfort working with EHR systems and digital documentation
• A calm, organized, and dependable work style
• A commitment to patient confidentiality and quality care

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and update electronic and paper medical records
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all patient information
• Process requests for medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist providers and staff with retrieving and documenting patient information
• Verify patient data, correct discrepancies, and support chart audits
• Coordinate with insurance companies, labs, and other healthcare facilities as needed
