About The Position

Our busy family medicine practice is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to assist our healthcare team in serving patients with the highest standards of care. If you have prior experience working in a Primary Care Medical Practice setting, we encourage you to apply. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. You will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of a busy full scope family medicine medical practice, serving patients and visitors by greeting and welcoming them, registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance information. You will check out patients with visit summary instructions and after visit follow up directions, as well as direct patients and visitors to appropriate resources, assisting them in scheduling appointments and referrals. Welcoming patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries to appropriate medical staff or providers in the practice will be one of your main responsibilities as well as processing medical records, prescriptions and scanning patient documents into medical records. You will help patients in distress by responding to emergencies. This position requires a Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese candidate and involves Front Desk Tasks and Responsibilities. Must have the ability to handle administrative duties that will include but are not limited to answering phones, making appointments, distributing forms and paperwork to patients, medical record releases, checking patients in and out, ensure the required fields are completed properly, collect co-pays, collect identification and insurance information and obtain prior authorizations. Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese
  • COVID-19 Vaccination- Must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination prior to hire date.
  • Demonstrate written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
