Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors promptly and courteously upon arrival.
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments or fees as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical or administrative personnel.
  • Coordinate patient flow by notifying medical staff of patient arrivals and managing waiting room logistics.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support clinical and office staff.
  • Handle patient check-out procedures, including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing necessary documentation.
