The Medical Physics Clinical Scientist must play a key supporting role in the Medical Physics Division. Will significantly contribute to clinical development projects and to non-direct patient care. May apply as the co-investigator or co-principal investigator with other investigators or principal investigator for an extramural grant or contracts if done in collaboration with the Medical Physics Division Chair. The Medical Physics Clinical Scientist is expected to bring a unique skill, technique or knowledge to the division and will participate in personnel and resource management on behalf of the division chair. Will independently manage assigned projects and the projects of other division personnel. Will provide input for the direction and design of other's projects and participate in teaching activities within the division.

Requirements

  • A Medical Physics Clinical Scientist candidate must have a doctoral level degree in physics, biomedical engineering, mathematics, or related field and have a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research training at Mayo or elsewhere.
  • The candidate must bring a unique skill, technique or knowledge to the division as documented by professional accomplishments and publication record and will have made a career decision to pursue regular employment at Mayo in support of the Medical Physics Division.
