Medical Oncology NP/PA
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a Symptom Management Clinic located in Greenville, NC. The service setting is outpatient, and the coverage is needed due to supplemental requirements, starting from May 28, 2026, and lasting for 6 weeks. The role is clinical only, with a Monday to Friday shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The expected patient volume is 12-14 per day, focusing on cases related to chemotherapy side effects such as nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and fever. The facility has 12 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center. The NP/PA will not be required to respond to codes or have critical care responsibilities, but will need to respond to patients who experience medication reactions in the nearby infusion suite. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered for this position.
Requirements
- Active NC License
- BC/BE
- BLS
